[Physical properties] Orange needle-like crystals, melting point:256 ~ 257 ℃; not soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, chloroform, soluble in alkaline solution, sodium carbonate solution or ammonia solution was cherry red。

[Pharmacology]Strong antibacterial activity，the effective concentration of Emodin inhibition is 1.5～2.5ug/ml。Emodin can be used for gallbladder, spasm, lower blood pressure .

[Function]Mainly used in antifeedant factors, anti-inflammatory, anti-mutation, anti-corrosion, anti-cancer (breast), antiulcer, antiviral, cathartic, luteinizing hormone, inhibition of Phytophthora force-free, insecticide,laxative,antispasmodic, hemostatic agents.
