Botanical Source: Its by names are spots root purple golden dragon, active blood dragon, the moon and sun lotus root. It is the stem and rootstock of Giant  Knotweed Rhizome belonged to buckwheat family plant. It is perennial herb. It grows up in a ravine, along the river, near a small stream or where is dim and  wet under the forest. It is chiefly produced in JiangSu, ZheJiang ,AnHui, GuangXi. It can be picked and dug in Spring and Autumn.
