Physical and Chemical Properties
• Appearance: Orange yellow or orange-red crystalline powder
• Solubility: soluble in ether, chloroform, petroleum ether, acetone, esters, insoluble in water.
• Stability: acid, alkali, free from iron, lead ions. Dilute solution was lemon yellow, not light (1% solution, 18 days in the sun can fade), stable below 40 degrees, 100 degrees below 7 hours fade.
Uses: prevention of age-related macular degeneration and other eye diseases, prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Good coloring, good oxidation resistance. Natural pigments, pharmaceuticals, health products, nutrition, food raw materials.
